Buber and Evil

Buber’s understanding of evil was deeply affected by the Holocaust. The Holocaust forced Buber to conclude that Gd sometimes “withdraws from humankind (pg155).” [This realization makes me very uncomfortable- as I cannot believe in a Gd that is capable of abandoning us when we need Gd the most.]
